Not too bad for a first book, but it had some storyline issues. One minute a character says this then the next minute it's something else. And the character wasn't lying or anything. The author just seemed to have forgotten what road she was going down with her story and the book just wasn't edited properly. Besides that problem, I liked the feel of the story and its setting. I seem to have this thing for small town-esque books with the whole everybody and their grandmother knows about you. Ha. The main characters were a little frustrating but they had great chemistry. The h was a little flip floppy in the beginning but that was just because she was trying to find herself and become a stronger person, which I could appreciate. One doesn't just be a stronger or better person overnight. The H was a good guy--if not a little bit of an overachiever. But he was also trying to prove to his adopted father that he was invested in the family business and I guess just wanted his dad to know that he could depend on him. He had good intentions. But I felt like he needed to communicate more with his father and not just assume that he wasn't doing everything to be the perfect son. Overall not bad, but not the best.
