3.5 StarsBoy, Shane was so damn sexy in this book. I also very much liked how he couldn't help himself whenever he saw Annabelle. It was like she cast some spell over him and he couldn't help but be drawn to her. It was so fun to see. As for Annabelle, I liked her a lot better in this book. She was one of the women who had given Heidi such "fantastic" advice on how to deter Rafe from his plans with the stupid idea to paint the darn caves, but I digress. These two characters went well together and I really liked reading about how much Rafe's horse--the so-called killer horse--was taken with Annabelle. In the end, I was happy to see them get their happily ever after. They both had issues to deal with before they could see that they were meant to be: Shane wanted to find a wife who was the complete opposite of what his ex was like, and Annabelle, essentially wanted the same thing. All were happy at the end.
